What happens during a Meet and Greet?

Before we start cat-sitting, we’ll arrange a time to come by your place. This gives us a chance to meet you, your cat, and check out your home.

How do you handle the return of my keys after pet sitting?
If you think there could be a delay, you may need an extra cat sitting visit. If you choose to ask us to hold onto the keys, there is an additional charge of £5 to drop them off at your address after the cat sitting has finished. We offer different options for key return, including keeping a spare set for future visits if you travel often and request this, leaving the keys inside after our last visit, or giving them to a chosen neighbour. We'll discuss these options when placing the booking.
Do I get an invoice or receipt for my booking?
Yes, once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation from us to ensure everything is in order.
After the cat-sitting service has been completed, you can contact us to request an invoice. We’ll provide a detailed invoice for your records upon request.
What should I do to prepare my cat for a sitter before I leave for a holiday?
1. Create a Detailed Care Guide
Before you head off, make sure to put together a detailed care guide for your cat sitter. Include everything from feeding instructions and favorite toys to hiding spots and any quirky behaviors. Don’t forget to add your vet’s contact information and any instructions to help keep your cat’s health in check. You can fill out a form online, or request a printed version:
For Cat Sitting: Cat Sitting Form
For Other Pets: Other Pets Form
2. Consider a Trial Run
If you can, arrange a trial run with your cat sitter while you’re still around. This gives you a chance to see how your cat reacts to them and helps your cat get used to someone new taking care of them.

3. Use Calming Techniques
For cats who get anxious, think about using calming techniques or products like pheromone diffusers, calming collars, or soothing music. These can help create a more relaxed environment for your kitty. Just make sure to check with your vet before trying out any new products.

4. Stay Connected
Take advantage of technology with pet cameras that let you check in on your cat and even talk to them through two-way audio. It’s a great way to keep in touch and reassure both you and your cat.

5. Ensure Fresh Water and Food
Make sure your cat has plenty of fresh water and their usual food. For longer trips, automatic feeders can help keep their feeding schedule on track. But remember, these feeders can’t replace the care and attention from a human sitter.

6. Prepare for Emergencies
Leave a list of emergency contacts, including your vet. Make sure your cat sitter knows where to find your cat’s carrier, important medical records, and any medications. We recommend informing your vet that MiMO Cat Sitting will be caring for your cat.
Leaving your cat behind can be tough, but with a bit of prep, you can ensure they’re comfortable and well cared for. By helping your cat adjust to your absence and keeping their routine as normal as possible, you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re happy and safe.

What are your rates?
Generally, our rates are £15 for one visit per day or £26 for two visits per day. This covers up to three cats. If you have more than three cats or if your cats have special needs, just let us know so we can adjust the care and pricing accordingly.
Please note that during peak times, rates might vary. For a personalised rate, feel free to get in touch with us!

Feed and Refresh Water: We’ll follow your feeding instructions to provide meals and keep their water bowl fresh.
Clean the Litter Box: We’ll scoop and clean the litter box to keep things tidy and comfortable.

Give Treats: If you’d like, we can give your cat treats as per your request.

What happens if my return is delayed?
If your return is delayed, no worries—we can continue our cat visits as long as we're available! Just let us know, and we'll make arrangements to keep caring for your feline friend.
I’m a bit wary of strangers in my home. How can you reassure me?
We totally understand that allowing someone new into your home can be a bit challenging. At MiMO Cat Sitting, we make sure our cat sitters are vetted, trained, and fully insured.
Before you leave, we’ll meet you and your cat to go over everything, like their care routine and where to find supplies. While you’re away, we’ll send you regular updates, photos, and videos to keep you in the loop and ensure your cat is happy and well-cared-for. If your return is delayed, no worries—we can continue our cat visits as long as we're available!
Do you administer medication to cats?
Your cat’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. We’re comfortable giving your cat medication mixed with food. However, when a pill needs to be manually administered by placing it directly into the cat’s mouth, or when your cat requires injections, we recommend hiring a Veterinary Nurse to ensure the procedure is performed safely and effectively.
Do you provide my selected brands of food, litter, cleaning products, or new toys?
Yes, we can definitely provide the brands of food, litter, cleaning products, or new toys that you prefer! If you’d like us to purchase these items, an additional 15% will be added to the cost of the selected products.
Once the items are purchased, we’ll send you the payment details so you can easily settle up. Just let us know what you need, and we’ll take care of the rest!
What other pets can you look after besides cats?
We can care for birds, fish, and hamsters and turtles, following the owner's instructions to ensure their pets remain happy and comfortable during their absence. If you have specific needs for any of these pets, please let us know during the booking process!
