Using our services means you accept these terms and agree to pay all applicable fees. This agreement applies to all repeat bookings unless circumstances change.
1. Booking and Payment
Booking Confirmation: Your booking will be confirmed only after we have visited your home, met your pet(s), and ensured we can provide the right care. Once this is confirmed, your booking will be finalized upon receipt of payment. To secure your cat-sitting dates, full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept payments via Bank Transfer or Cash.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible. However, to manage our schedule effectively, we have the following cancellation policy:
To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 60 days before the booking begins.
To receive a 50% refund, you must cancel at least 30 days before the booking begins.
To receive a 25% refund, you must cancel at least 15 days before the booking begins.
If you cancel with less than 15 days' notice, payments are non-refundable. Please contact us to inquire about the possibility of rescheduling. Please note that changes to your booking may not guarantee rescheduling. Any exceptions made are at the sitter's complete discretion depending on availability, and such decisions will be final.
If you need to make last-minute changes, such as date adjustments, you can initiate a booking request for the new date and submit a cancellation request for the original booking. Rescheduling will be subject to the sitter's sole discretion and may be granted or denied based on availability.
Please notify MiMO Cat Sitting Services of any cancellations as soon as possible.
Early Returns: No credits or refunds for early returns, as we have to turn down other bookings to accommodate your pet.
3. Financial Terms
Late Payments: A £15 admin fee will apply to any overdue payments until settled.
Emergency Vet Trips: £30 + £15 per half-hour, plus vet fees.
Emergency Pet Supplies: £15 plus the cost of supplies.
Early Returns: No credits or refunds for early returns, as we have to turn down other bookings to accommodate your pet.
Service Charges & Amendments: If a booking requires more time or responsibilities than initially agreed, we may adjust fees or terminate service.
Service Termination: We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services due to safety or financial concerns.
Repeat Bookings: This agreement applies to all repeat bookings unless circumstances change.
4. Responsibilities
What We Provide:
Our service includes feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, and playtime for your cat. We will only perform the agreed-upon light household tasks.
In an emergency—such as a natural disaster, fire, or evacuation—a cat carrier allows you to transport your cat(s) quickly and safely, keeping them secure in stressful situations. Be sure to inform your cat sitter where to find the cat carrier and everything they might need in case they have to take your cat(s) to the vet.
Your Responsibilities:
You must provide enough food and litter for the duration of our service.
We are not responsible for any damage caused by your pets to furniture, flooring, or other household items.
We cannot be held liable for any issues that arise while pets are left alone.
Property Security:
Please ensure your property is adequately secured while you’re away.
Outdoor Access:
We are not responsible for lost, injured, or deceased pets that have outdoor access, including via cat flaps. We do not let cats outside unless a cat flap is present.
We are unable to provide care for cats that remain in a crate.
If your cat will be staying outdoors overnight, this must be discussed with the cat sitter beforehand. The cat sitter reserves the right to refuse if they feel it’s not safe.
5. Weather-Related Changes
MiMO Cat Sitting reserves the right to modify or change the services provided in the event of inclement weather conditions. We will do our best to maintain your cat's care, but certain adjustments may be necessary for safety reasons.
6. Emergency Situations & Service Termination
We recommend providing alternative contact details, preferably from close family members, who can make decisions on your behalf. These contacts will only be reached in case of an emergency, and if we are unable to reach you directly after multiple attempts.
Emergency Handling: If an emergency arises, we will make every effort to contact you. If we cannot, you authorize us to act in the best interest of your cat and home at £15 per half-hour.
Your cat's well-being is our top priority. If your cat requires medical attention while you are away, we will promptly contact your designated veterinarian. If your vet is unreachable or if it is outside of regular hours, we will take your cat to Medivet Watford, which offers 24-hour emergency services.
The veterinarian will require payment at the time of the visit. If the pet sitter is unable to reach you after multiple attempts, they will contact an emergency contact to arrange payment directly with the veterinarian over the phone. Please note that the pet sitter will not cover veterinary invoices; all treatments and related expenses are the responsibility of the cat owner. You agree to reimburse us for any extra costs related to emergency care, transportation, or unexpected visits.
We recommend informing your vet that MiMO Cat Sitting will be caring for your cat while you’re away and asking if payment can be deferred until your return.
Service Termination: We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services due to safety or financial concerns.
Health & Safety
Health Requirements: Cats must be vaccinated, wormed, and treated for fleas with vet-approved products.
Flea Infestation: We do not accept bookings for homes with a known flea infestation. If an infestation is discovered mid-booking, we will halt services immediately, and you must arrange alternative care. We are not liable for third-party services or related costs.
Grooming & Elderly Cats: If your cat has any special needs or health concerns, please discuss them with us before the booking. For cats over 16 years old or those with medical conditions, we may require a vet check within six months prior to care. Proof of this will be required.
Missing Pets: If your cat goes missing, we will continue visits and notify your vet and relevant authorities. If you've provided a photo, we’ll share it with them.
Keys & Access
Key Retention & Return: If you request key retention, we securely keep your keys between visits to ensure smooth service in case of delays or emergencies. If you prefer your keys returned, please arrange this with the cat sitter. A small admin fee may apply for repeated key collections or drop-offs.
Your Key Responsibilities: If you request your keys back, ensure someone else has access to care for your pets if you're delayed. We are not responsible if pet care cannot continue due to lack of access.
Key Handling Fees: Key pickup/drop-off may incur a small fee to cover time and travel.
Lock/Key Issues: If a key breaks, a lock fails, or other access issues arise, we will make every effort to contact you or anyone you've listed as an emergency contact before taking any action. If necessary, we will arrange for a locksmith to regain entry. You will be responsible for any associated costs, including a £15 charge for every additional half-hour of time.
7. Communication & Third-Party Access
Up-to-Date Details: Ensure your contact information and pet care instructions are current before you leave.
Peak Times (school holidays, public holidays including bank holidays, and other busy times of the year): During peak times, we may require a minimum booking period and a longer cancellation notice.
Third-Party Access: If others (friends, family, contractors) will access your home during our booking, you must inform us. Our insurance does not cover damage caused by third parties.
Communication Groups: We may create temporary WhatsApp groups for updates. These are managed solely by Mimo, and clients do not have admin rights.
8. Data Protection Policy
At MiMO Cat Sitting Services, we take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of any personal data we hold about you. If you wish to request the deletion of your data, we are legally required to respond within one month. Please be aware that if your contact details are removed, we will be unable to continue providing care for your pets.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined above. Once it is no longer required, we will securely delete or destroy your data.
9. Acceptance of Terms: Using our services means you accept these terms and agree to pay all applicable fees.
